大好き！サンペドロコーヒー Coffee in San Pedoro

さ、今日も午前中はスペイン語のレッスンです！学校のお隣。なんやろ？？！！これはコーヒー豆を乾かしているんですねーーー！ここサンペドロは良質のコーヒーでも有名。1/25 2nd day of our Spanish class! What's this?! It's coffee beans. laid out to dry under the Sun. The coffee from San Perodo is very famous.

学校の午後のアクティビティーではコーヒーのお話でした。スペイン語だからなーんとなくわかったような。Afternoon activity was a lecture about the importance of coffee for the local people. Well I guess I understood about 40% of it,,,.
学校の敷地内にはコーヒーの木もあります。There are coffee bushes in the school!
コーヒーに木や実を見る機会ってほんと少ないけど、かわいらしいほんのり甘い実。ビターな味のコーヒーからはあまり想像がつきませんねー。そして、この種がコーヒーの豆なのです。The coffee fruits are cute and sweet! It is the opposite from my image of coffee, bitter, brown etc.
サンペドロの町の中でも一押しのコーヒーはカフェLas Cristalinas 。私はカフェアメリカーノQ12(アメリカーノといっても薄くはない。むしろ濃い）、クロービスはカプチーノ@15。特にこのカプチーノは行けてた。カフェによるとミルクの味が強すぎるところがあるけど、しっかりコーヒーの味が！パナハッチェル行きのボート乗り場から急な坂を上る途中左手にあります。フィンはカフェから車が通るのが見えてご機嫌。グアテマラでは５カ月ぐらいの赤ちゃんからコーヒーを与えるという。妊婦さんでも子供でも、赤ちゃんでもコーヒーはよいと考えられているところがびっくり！ということで、フィンもお初のコーヒー！We heard about this cafe called "Cafe Cristalinas" from Japanese couple who have been in San Pedoro for 4 years. Let's try it! I had cafe Americano Q12 and Clovis had Cappuccino Q15. Especially this Cappuccino was amazing! From Pana dock, you just go up the steep slop! Finn was happy as he could see cars from his seat. Also He tried his first coffee! The Guatemalan give coffee to their babies from 5 months on! They think Coffee gives us good energy so they say pregnant women have no problems drinking coffee!
お店のうらには大きなコーヒーロースターがあった。独自で豆を炒っています。コーヒーはローストの仕方でも随分と味が変わりますねー。あまりローストしすぎると風味が失われてせっかくの独特の味が消えてしまう可能性もあるし、逆に豆の質があまり良くないなら深入りローストすればごまかしがきくって事もありますねー。私は酸味のない苦みのでもしっかり風味のあるコーヒーが好き。妊娠中だからコーヒーをあまり飲まなかったけど、おいしいコーヒーがあるところでは飲んでおかねば！They have a huge roaster. They roast coffee beans by themselves and of course their coffee is from here in San Pedoro! It is nice and fresh! I love coffee that doesn't have acidic taste. Sometimes too much roasting destroys the distinct taste. which is probably why all the chain coffee (starbucks) is so darkly roasted, so you can't taste the bad quality coffee beans.
not here in San Pedro, the coffee was perfectly roasted and great quality coffee!!
