Saint Anthony Falls is located northeast of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, it was the only natural major waterfall on the Mississippi River! Sounds big like Niagara Falls right?? !! Well it is not so huge, it's more cute.

Everyone wanted to stay longer!!!! Some people spend 2-3days on the train for their trip. There are individual bed rooms and great service! Now we are going to meet Clovis, who drove from Wisconsin with our luggage, and go to the Hotel!! Oh, we had such a fun day again!!

Kickapoo Adventure

Look at them! I bet they slept well last night! It's breakfast time! Organic free range scrambled egg, organic bacon and Cinnamon buns baked by the neighbors! Of course Wisconsin MILK!
We took an Organic Valley tour at the head office? It is in the middle of no wheres!!!!! The office over looks the beautiful Kickapoo Valley Reserve. They have a one mile walking trail just out side of the office and they have gardens so that staff can do gardening during their rest time. The Workers requested a gardening space and they just made it for them! How nice!!!! the building has lots of ECO stuff. Organic Valley was started by Organic farmers so they are all nature lovers!! Let's lean about the leader of the organic industry!
After the tour, our tour guide Aaron offered us organic cookies and milk!! we had a lot of variety of their products to choose from! Milk, Chocolate milk, Soy Milk, Orange Juice etc,,,,. Then we went to the OUTLET! Some of them bought 20 blocks of Cheese! Wisconsin Cheese is very special! So yummy!!!!! The staff from the shop were so shocked how many souvenirs the Japanese people bought!!

Let's go!! Satoko don't be so scared!!
Take chan and Keiko were bit nervous, but they look so comfortable now that we are canoeing!

Lets take a break! Oh, we can swim in the river! Actually we did! It was so nice to cool down!

They had a hard time in the beginning but look at them now!
Team!!! Good job!!

Then we visited the Amish country! It is always amazing to see them farming! Everyone enjoyed the Amish shopping !!

It's a Friday!! Fish fry!!

Summer Adventure Tour!

9 Japanese landed in Minneapolis! There is a direct flights from Tokyo to Minneapolis (about 11 and a half hours). At the immigration, The immigration officer didn't believe that they where going to Viroqua WI for sight seeing! They were all half sleeping and dazed going through immigration when Machiko was called to a different room, suddenly every one had to wake up immediately and try and finding some English words that they leaned a looooooong time ago. Finally they made it through!! Good job!!! (Mainly Maiko was able to sort things out) It was the first adventure of their Wisconsin trip!
It takes about 3 and half hour to drive down the Mississippi from Minneapolis to Viroqua. The Mississippi is the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin, we took Wisconsin side of the river which has nicer views! We stopped in Pepin, where Laura Ingalls was born , for a rest.

We were supposed to stop here only 15 min but of course everyone wanted to peak at the Museum! It displayed a lot of old fashion kitchen goods, clothes etc. it is cute but wait a second,,,, it also looks like normal Wisconsin farm house!!!!
They met a lot of Americans. When we meet people in japan for the first time, we just say hello but in the western world it is different. Maiko, you just simply shake his hand!!
Take-chan brought special Japanese sake from his area. We can buy sake here in Wisconsin but not special sake like this! Daiginjyo is top class Sake. it's less than 50% rice.
We had Jane's homemade Lasagna!! Cheese, pork, spinach and homemade tomato sauce and cherry pie for desert! The Japanese people were so impressed by the desert. Their image of American sweets has been totally changed!!
Time for group photo! This is just beginning or our adventure! Everyone, sleep tight!!
