様々な種類のトラクター。この地域の子供たちは足がペダルに届くか届かないころからトラクターを運転し、ファーマー達に交じって、畑に出る事も多く、将来はファーマーになりたい！と夢を抱く。オーガニックで育てるお野菜やお肉、牛乳の味を知って育つ豊かな生活を送っています。小さいころから土に触れて外で遊ぶことによって丈夫な体はもちろん、学問や芸術面でも優れた才能を生み出すとか！A lot of tractors! Children who are raised on the farm ride on a tractor from the day they are born and start driving the tractors as soon as their feet almost reach the pedals. Most farm kids love to sit on the tractor and pretend as if they are professional farmers, aspiring to grow up and be farmers! The country kids here only know what foods should taste like, cause they eat every thing fresh off the farm! I heard an interesting thing from a local school teacher, She said that if a child is raised playing in the endless complexities of nature then they will grow up to be better at all studies and their sense for art and creativity will be far enhanced as well. I think it is true!
フェアの中では大人から子供まで家族皆が楽しめるように色々なアクティビティーが提供されています。これはキッズアクティビティー。動物について学んでいます。At the Kickapoo Country Fair, they have a lot of activities for everyone from kids to Adults!
こちらはアダルト向け。たくさんのテントではオーガニック栽培について、グリーンエネルギーについて、その他色々なテーマに専門家によるレッスンがあります。立ち寄ったのは、シェフモニークによるバターについてのクラス。まずはオーガニック牛乳から皆でバターを作ります。その間モニークはバターの質や栄養素、そして色々なアレンジ方法をレクチャーしてくれます。また、地消地産、スローフードのお話も交えてしてくれました。なんといってもお料理を楽しくさせてくれるアイデアたっぷりのモニークのレクチャーは面白い！There are a lots of class' about Organic gardening, farming, Green energy, cooking and so on. I visited one of the class about Organic Butter by chef Monique, who is originally from France. We made butter from Organic milk. She explained a lot of interesting things about Organic butter and how we can enjoy cooking with it! She makes us feel like cooking is so much fun and also inspires us about the importance of eating Local food!

こちらは毎年１０月に行われる’エンプティーボール’チャリティーに向けてのプロジェクト。地元のアーティスト達が作る器に皆が絵付けをしそれを焼いたものを１０月のチャリティーで、地元の人たちが作るスープと共に、＄20ほどで売ります。そのお金をスープも飲む事が困難な人たちへの寄付に回します。絵付けは１つ＄3。これももちろん寄付に回ります！１０月にはビロクアの町に作品が並びます！！The local artists make bowls and people get to paint them. In October, they have a Charity called the 'Empty Bowl'. Local people cook soup and sell it in these beautiful bowls for around $20. You get to keep your bowl too! The money they make will be sent to people that can not afford a bowl of soup. It's a great project that any community could do together!To paint a Bowl is $3. Of course it will go for charity too!
