ミネアポリスにお邪魔してきました。
てけてけの家からは約３時間半のドライブ。
ここでは日本人を見ることがないので、
久しぶりの日本語の世界！幸せ～～
I visited my friends Megumi and Scott in Minneapolis.
It takes about 3.5 hours from my place.
I hardly see Japanese people here. I was excited!!
そうそう、みなさん’たんぽぽ’という
イタミジュウゾウ監督の映画覚えてますか？
実はタンポポは海外でもとっても人気のようです。
英語のサブタイトル付きのビデオもあります。

せっかく都会に出てきたので、
夕食は久しぶりの日本食レストランを
チョイスしてくれました！
その名も’たんぽぽ’
Since I came to the big city, they chose
a Japanese restaurant for dinner for me!
The Restaurant name is 'Tampopo'
映画を見た方はもちろんご存じの通り、
主人公のタンポポがラーメン屋を営むために
修業を重ねましたね。
そこで、このレストランは、もちろん
’ヌードルショップ’
Someone who has seen the movie already knows
that main character Tampopo(lady's name) tries hard to run
a Noodle shop.(Ramen shop)
So this restaurant is of course ' Noodle shop'
メニューは、もちろんうどんやそばのヌードルが
メインだけど、なかでも鍋焼きうどんはアメリカ人にも
大人気だそうで。
一品ものほうれん草の胡麻和え、
甘辛い味付けの手羽先、お寿司ロール
天ぷら、とんかつ、焼き魚などの定番日本のメニューが
リーゾナブルナ価格で楽しめる。
そして、食材もナチュラルのものを使っている。
お店の中はウェアハウスを改造したシンプルな
モダン日本レストランという感じでとってもお気に入りです。
ミネアポリスとセントポール両方に店舗をももつ。
Main thing on the menu is of course 'Udon and Soba'(Japanese noodle)
Especially Nabeyaki Udon(You see in the photo) is very popular for
American people.
Others such as spinach with sesame,Teriyaki, Suhirole,
Tempra,Tonkatsu,(breaded) pork cutlet,Griled fish,etc.
it sounds like a very Japanese dish!!
Reasonable priceing and Narural foods too.
It used to be a warehouse. Now we can see it still but
became very nice,symple and modan Japanese restaurant.
I loved it!
They have another one in St Paul.
どれもお～～～いしかった～～～
Everything was absolutely delicious!!
