五大湖周辺紅葉の旅 その５ 浴衣と日本食 Japanese dinner in Yukata!

浴衣で登場のｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽ。シダローズの誕生日は日本風に！
焼き鳥片手になかなかさまになってるや～～ん！
Clovis is cooking in his Japanese outfit. Today is Cedarose's birthday. We are having Japanese style dinner! He is working on Yakiori(Japanese style chicken Q).












おっと全員集合だ！とりあえずグループ写真！（日本人としてはね。撮っておかねば！

お箸の持ち方レッスン！Chopsticks lesson by George!
日本食といっても材料がかぎられているのと、日本のようにいくつも小さなお皿があるわけでもない。なのでお蕎麦は和風ドレッシングをつくってつゆの代わりに。あとは、汁気のでないお稲荷さん、ガーデンでとれたかぼちゃの煮物、お野菜の甘辛煮、そして焼き鳥に焼き豚。アメリカ人が食べれそうなものを選ぶのもコツ。みんな気に入ってくれたみたい！ふ～～よかった！We can get only certain ingredient here in Wisconsin and there is limited type of plates. Most importantly I have to choose what American can eat. We got Inari, Soba, simmered squash, vegetable stair fly, Yakitori and Yakibuta(pork version).
ジェーンがケーキを用意してる！！浴衣、とってもお似合い！Jane is getting ready for the birthday cake!
そしてシダローズの誕生日にジェーンが特別に作ったこの何とも濃厚なチョコレートケーキラズベリーソース。ホイップクリームが一層舌触りを滑らかにしてくれます！ちなみに、アメリカのデザートはあま～～～いイメージが有りますが、手作りの場合そんな事ないんですよ！なんていうか、素材の味を生かしているって感じです！This is the special birthday chocolate cake with raspberry sauce with whipped cream! You probably imagine American cakes are always very sweet but home made cakes are not too sweet and we can enjoy the taste of the fruits and other ingredients themselves!

今度はチャーリーの浴衣かな～～～私の浴衣は高校の時に唯一作った浴衣。犬用ってつくれるのかな～。I think Charley needs a Yukata too! I made mine by myself but it was the only one I have made. I wonder is I can make for him!!
この後、明日の朝ご飯になるイングリッシュマフィンが冷蔵庫の裏に落ちてしまい、どうしよう、、、と言っていたところ、そうだ！つり竿があった！ということで、今回はキーフが釣りあげました！
We had a little issue this night. The English muffin for tomorrow breaky dropped down behind the fridge........ But Kieff got it by fishing pole!!! Good job Kieff!!
