She has a CSA farm called small family CSA http://www.smallfamilycsa.com/. They have their farm tour once a year so that we the CSA Members can learn about all the vegetables that we get from them.
もっとも、日本と同じで’オーガニック’というには、山とある書類作業、そして何より時間もお金もかかる。農業ってそんな暇ないぐらい忙しい職業なのに、、、、。このファームは有機栽培だけど、認定は受けていない。でも私たちにとっては、信頼あるファーマーが農薬を使わずおいしいくて安心なお野菜を作ってくれるのが大事なわけなので、そんなことは気にしない。有機栽培に関して毎年色々な事を試みて、新しい発見をしていく彼女たち。農薬に頼らず自然をうまく利用しておいしい安心の食材を確保するために全力を尽くします。成功例だけでなく、失敗例も説明してくれたり。あきらめず自然と共存できる農業を目指して日々頑張っているファーマー達は本当にかっこいい！最近、千葉県の松戸市にこんな興味深い農家さんの集まりを発見した。http://ameblo.jp/very-veggie/ 松戸駅近くから歩いて６分の所に畑直ステーションといって新鮮なお野菜が帰るところや、宅配もやってるみたい！They told us what veggies they tried to grow this year and which ones where successful or which ones where not. Every year they find new organic methods and keep perfecting the art of growing things the natural organic way. What do you know about your vegetables? There is a long process to get certified Organic. It is the same in Japan. Farmers are so busy, I wonder how they manage to do it. I heard that many farmers farm with organic methods but don't have the official Organic Certification. This is fine as long as you trust and know your farmer. May be if you can't see the farmers or the farm that your food come from you might want to only buy the food that says certified organic. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a great system. You will get local foods from local farmers and also support them. this enables the farmers to continue producing their beautiful vegetables, meats, honey, you name it!
今年は妹のジュリーとパートナーのデゥルムもシーズン中加わって、更に若さあふれるファーマーチームでした！Jillian's sister Julie and her partner Drew joined this year. Go Young wonderful farmer team!!
ヤシの木？？？いえいえケールというお野菜。切っても切っても伸びてくるケールもそろそろシーズンが終わり。黄色いのはマリーゴールドで食用にもなる。?? Are they palm trees?? in Wisconsin?? No~ They are kale! The yellow flowers are marigolds we can eat them too!
この冬結婚するジリアンとアダム。あっつあつの二人が繰り広げるオーガニックファーム。素敵だな～。素敵な人たちが作るおいしいお野菜！この後は、皆で持ち寄ったお料理を食べ、おしゃべりして楽しみました！

Jillian and Adam will soon get married!! They look happy!! It's so nice to see Happy Young farmers and hear about their joy of life and farming. We had a wonderful dinner after this and chatted with all the other members of the CSA!
