ろう蜜キャンドル作り！Bee's Wax Candle making

今日は少し雨が降ったので、ファームの人たちはきっと喜んでるかな！！私達はガーデンをつくるはずだったけど、雨だったので急きょ予定を変更。It rained a bit today. the Farmers must have been so happy to get the rain! The rain made us change our gardening plans with Sizuka for today.
ファームの仲間とアーミッシュ達も参加するビロクアファーマーズマーケットによった後、ファーム仲間とここビロクアにあるフードコープさんへ。何もかも興味深深！静香ちゃん一家が使っているというオーガニックのお味噌を彼らに推奨。早速彼らは購入！
Sizuka came to Viroqua's Market and went to Food co-op in Viroqua with her farm friends . There are many interesting things!! They bought Organic Miso that Sizuka recommended!
ランチで行った町中のドリフトレスカフェは、ローカルのフード、そしてなるべくオーガニックな食材を使ってのカフェメニューを提供。オーナー自らキッチンガーデンを持ちその食材を使う。コーヒーももちろんフェアトレードのローカルロースト。After that, we went for Lunch at The driftless cafe. The driftless is a local cafe and coffee house, they use local organic foods and even the owner grows most of the vegetables and ingredients in his garden! Of course their coffee is fair trade and roasted in Viroqua organically.
そして町のフリーマーケットをちょっとのぞいて！
We hoped into the flea Market in Town.
さて、いよいよ本題のキャンドルメーキング。まずは蜂が作ったワックスの塊を小さいブロックに割って
Now it's time for candle making. We need to break the wax into little piece.
鍋で溶かしてそこにローソクの新になる紐をつける。何度も重ねてつけると、、、、、。これまた立派なろうそくに！ハニーの何とも言えないこのほのかなにおい！たまりません！！！
Melt it in a pan and dip wicks in the wax several times. slowly the candle becomes really nice and thick. since we are useing Bee's wax from a local honey farm the candels smells soooooooo good!!
最後に押し花でデコレーション！静香作。 Then we put some pressed flower on the candle. These are by Sizuka!
素敵なオリジナルキャンドルの出来上がり！今日はホストのジリアンの誕生日。このローソクをバースデーケーキに飾ってね！Home made candles!! Today is the host family Jillian's Birthday! Put the candles on the cake for her B' day!!
蜂達が作ったワックス。キャンドルのもとになる物を実際に見て、感動！蜂が蜂蜜を作る工程はかなり凄い！人間にはできないことを彼らは一生かけてやっている！うわ～蜂ってすごい！
