パパイヤ～～！暖かい気候のバトピラスではパパイアの季節を迎えていました！ホテルの人がこれ食べな～まだまだたくさんあるからいつでも言ってね～といってくれました。めっちゃくちゃ甘くっておいし～～～～～！Papaya! The nice lady at the Hotel gave us yummy papaya from her garden!! Wow it's BIG! And It's the sweetest ever!
朝は仕事に出かけたり学校に行く人達を見かけました。この吊り橋、渡る時、かなりスリルがある。Many people are going to work and school in the morning.
さて、小高いところまで登って町を見渡そうと出かけると、またまた地元の人で人気者の二人。We were going for a little hiking. Here are our popular boys! Locals loved them!
だれかのお家のうらを通って登っていきます。Houses are quite simple.
わ～キッチンだ！Nice kitchen stove!
道はこんな感じだけど、さらに上にお家があるから、ここは日常の通り道なんだよね。フィン、足踏み外したらまっさかさまにおちるぞーー！！うわ～大変だ！It's like rock climbing! Watch out!!
ここに住んでる人は毎日こうして登ってくるんだなー。さ、まだまだ続くぞー。Wow I can't believe someone lives here climbing this little rocky path everyday! But for sure the view is so beautiful!
サボテンの花。今度は黄色だ! It's a cute flower!
反対側も上の方に住んでる人達が結構いるな～。You can see more houses on the other side of the hill!
わ～サボテン。こんな大きいの、みたことない！100年以上は生きてるんだろうなー。see beautiful Batopilas tucked into the bottom of the canyon! Wow that cactus must be more than 100 years old!
ぶ～ん！散歩の途中ですが、ボーイズ達はいつでもどこでもあそんじゃいます。Boys find their favorite play spot wherever we go.
お花がたくさん咲いてとってもきれいな時期に訪れたようです。Many flowers are around the town this time of year!
川辺では牛たちがのんびりお昼寝してます。村全体がの～んびりしてて、とっても素敵なところでした。ZZZ
次の日もこうして川でのーんびり遊んで、ボーイズ達は満足げ。この先2つのキャニオンを挟んだ隣村URIQUEに行く方法は、道がないからドンキーで行くか、3日ぐらいかけて山を歩いていくか、いったんクリールに戻るしかないと言われ、念のため警察に聞いたけど、やっぱり道はないという事で、ちょっと残念、、、。ちびが行くから歩いて行きたいところだけど、、、、。ところが、ホテルのお母さんが、URIQUEに連れて行ってくれる人がいるよ。という情報をくれて、クロービスが２時間かけて村中を走って、いろんな人に聞いてついにその人を探してきてくれました！M$3500（約3万円）で車で連れて行ってくれるということでした。うわ～、ちょっとお高いけど、これしか方法がないから仕方ないかーーー。でも戻らなくてもいいし、キャニオンでも景色の見どころと言われているこのルートを通れるのはとっても嬉しい！We had nice relaxed time here in Batopilas! We were told that there is no road to the next town Urique (next canyon over) and we almost gave up but Clovis, who always makes things happen, ran around the town 2 hours asking who could take us to Urique and finally found someone who can take us there!!! Wow even police told us that there is no road!!
さ、明日の準備。村の商店にて食料をゲット。Preparing for the trip! it's a 4x4 road only and it goes over the same stretch of mountains as one of the worlds to 10 hikes, only we can't hike very well with a 1 and 3 year old. so we are excited to take the trip in a 4x4!
