オーガニックフード＆ファームツアー Organic Food and Farm Tour

さて、１３日に無事到着されたのは、オーガニックアドバイザーの勉強をされているというアキコさん！今回はアメリカでのオーガニックの様子をたっぷり見て頂きましょう！そして、もちろん田舎での自然も楽しんで下さいね～！早速１日目はおなじみキカプー川でのカヌー！Akiko has been studying about Organic. She took a course to become an organic adviser in Japan. It sounds interesting! We are sure she will enjoy here in Viroqua area! Of course we will take her for fun activities too! The first day, we did canoeing!!!

良く晴れたすがすがしいお天気の中お外で食べると気持ちがいいですね～！It's always nice to have picnic under the Sun!!
ウィスコンシンの南西部は丘が連なる為、小さな規模でのファームが多く、アメリカの中でオーガニックファームの密度が一番高いと言うわれるこのビロクア周辺の中で、もっとも大きな規模を持つファームを訪れました。Our area is very hilly so we have many family farms around here. And it is the most organic farms per capita in the U.S.A. Today we visited one of the biggest Organic vegetable farm in this area.
このファームはＣＳＡ（地域で支える農業）http://thelittlecountryschool.blogspot.com/2008/02/csa.html、ファーマーズマーケット、そしてホールフーズ等への出荷をしている。ＣＳＡのメンバーは、季節のお野菜が毎週届けられる。色々な種類のお野菜が届けられるので、元シェフであり栄養士でもあるスタッフが目新しいお野菜を届ける時にはレシピを添えたりと色々な工夫がされています。’オーガニック’というと奥が深いですが、難しく考えなくても楽しくおいしく味わってほしいと言うのが彼らの志向。ファーマーと消費者がお互い信用できるこのシステムは素敵ですね！They are CSA Farm, and they go to Madison Farmer's market and sell to Whole foods. CSA http://thelittlecountryschool.blogspot.com/2008/02/csa.html、Member will get many kind of vegetable through the season. If there is any vegetable that is not so familiar with they put the recipe in the box so that you can cook with it and enjoy!
品質管理も徹底されていて、保存の仕方も各お野菜によって温度を変えていたり、種に温度を加えて殺菌する。農薬を使わない’オーガニック’栽培なので、害虫や病気を発生させないように気を配ります。They are very careful for everything. Make sure the seed doesn't have any disease, good soil with lots of minerals, keeping vegetable right temperature and carrying them right way.
今年は少し遅れ気味のイチゴ。取り立てほやほやを頂いちゃいました！フレッシュなイチゴの香りは何ともいえませ～ん！Wow Strawberry!! It is bit late this year but finally here they are!! It smells so good! Fresh strawberry!!
ファームの人たちはみんな生き生きしてましたね！そんなお野菜たちは本当においしい！おいしく安全な食材を提供してくれるファーマー。消費者である私たちが彼らがずっとオーガニックファームを続けていけられるように、サポートしていきたいですね！Farmers look so happy. Their vegetable taste so good! Everyone is happy! We should keep support farmers to be able to have such a delicious and safe foods!
