一面緑に囲まれた田舎風景。畑もそろそろいろいろなお野菜が顔を出している。実はここはオーガニックファームのCo-opオーガニックバレーの本社です。働いている人もランチタイムには菜園ができるように、そしてハイキングコースあるので、休み時間にエクササイズをする人も。こんな田舎のオフィスって素敵！Green!! We are in the middle of nowhere! Well we are at Organic Valley head office in La Farge in Wisconsin. All of their workers love nature this is a perfect office for them!!
カフェテリアにやってきました。アメリカでのカフェテリアランチというとファーストフードのイメージがありますが、健康あってこそ元気に働けるのが一番。ここでは毎日日替わりでオーガニックランチを食べられます！シーズンになると畑で取れたものを提供してくれる人もいて、みんなで大地の恵みを分け合います。We went to the cafeteria to get some lunch. I imagine American cafeteria is more like pizza or fast foods but here they gets yummy organic meal everyday! And sometimes people donate their vegetable that they grow just out side the office!
見つめ合う二人。フィンはすっかり明子さんをお気に入り。２０年を超えるオーガニックファーマーたちで築き上げてきたアメリカでのオーガニックコープのお話はオーガニックアドバイザーなど、この先リーダーとなる人たちにはとっても興味深いことでしょう！次は、オーガニックバレーのツアーを終え、たくさんのアーミッシュファミリーが住むエリアを訪れました。They are looking at each other?! Finn is big fan of Akiko! It is very interesting to hear about Organic farmer's story and how they become the biggest organic farm co-op in North America. After that, we visited the Amish town in Cashton area!
オーガニックファームでは農薬を使わないので雑草の量は果てしない。オーガニックお野菜を手に取るまでのファーマー達の裏舞台。こんなファーマー達がいなければおいしくて安全な食材は作れません。これまたオーガニックアドバイザーの方々にとっては貴重なご体験になるのでは！！明子さん、お疲れ様でしたー！Organic farming which doesn't use chemical so they did lots of weeding. This is very important and hard work. We can't get these yummy organic foods without the farmers! When I eat organic vegetable or others I appreciate for all the work they do. I think it is great experience for people like Akiko who will be one of the leader of Organic industry in the future! Good job Akiko!!
