ついにてけてけ Teketeke?!

すでにご存じの方もいらっしゃると思いますが、
友達から、私の歩き方が’てけてけ’しているという事で、
ブログ第一弾では’てけてけの日記’でご紹介していました。

そんな中、友達が、’てけてけ’というお店を発見し、
日本に来る前から是非、行かねば！と思っていたら、
中学校の時に一緒の体操部だった、部長さんチーボーと
久しぶりの再会に、なんと新御茶ノ水にある’てけてけ’を予約してくれました！！
このお店は鳥料理のお店。そうです。鳥も’てけてけ’と歩くんですね、、、。
'TEKETEKE' is a word which represents the sound made when I'm walking. it's become one of my nick names too.
Japanese has lots of 'sound effects'.
A friend of mine found a restaurant which is called ' TEKETEKE' in Tokyo so I was excited to go there when I visit to Japan this time.
'ChiBo(nick name)' is a friend of mine we went to the same Jr, High School and both of us belonged to gymnastics club. She booked a table for us at TEKETEKE tonight for me!

10年近くあっていなかったので、懐かしい話がたくさん出てきて、とっても楽しいひと時を過ごせました！
そして、さすが日本！チーボーは注文のお皿が来ると素早く取り分けてくれて！一段と素敵な女性になっていました！
さて、てけてけの料理も、焼き鳥、鶏ぞうすい、てけてけサラダ　なすの味噌和え、、、。
うわ～～日本って素敵！
We hadn't seen each other for 10 years or so. So we had very nice time and talk.

At Japanese pub and restaurant, we usually share some dishes. And someone (most of the time it is women) serves in a plate for everybody. As soon as the dished arrived, ChiBo served for me and I didn't have to do anything but eat and drink!
Chiken BBQ(Yakitori), Chiken porridge, TEKETEKE salad, eggplant with Miso sauce...
Oh,,,,I liked all of them!!!
さて、日本のナチュラル食品、オーガニック食品のお店がどんなものかと興味心身の私は、せっかくこの近くに来たので、’ＧＡＩＡ’というお店に行ってみました。

ホームページには作り手さんの紹介なども載っていて、生産者のお顔も見えてなんだか安心できますね～！下北沢には今度はレストランがオープンとか。
I was looking for some organic shops in Tokyo and I found 'GAIA'.

有機野菜、米、調味料、下の階には化粧品やリップクリームといったたぐいのもちろんナチュラル製品がたくさんありました。リサイクルという事で古本も売っていました。
特に売っている食材は、アメリカのお店で売っているものと違って’日本’の食生活で見られる数々のものが並んでいたので、とても新鮮でした！私の実家の周りではまだまだこういったお店もなく、もっと増えたらいいな～と思いつつ、楽しくお店を見ていました！
The shop has Organic vegetables, rice, millet, seasoning, natural skin care goods, books...and so on. It sounds like more people are getting interested in Organic nowadays, which is great!

さて、新御茶ノ水久しぶりの千代田線に乗りましたが、このエスカレーターの長さ、、、、。
どこまで行くんだろう、、、、。東京なのでちゃんと左側に止まって写真をかちゃり！
このあと出口Ｂ５に行こうと思ったらＢ２へたどり着き、、、、駅構内に戻ることもできず、外に出て言われたとおりに歩いて行った。同じ駅なのに、10分以上は歩いた、、、。広いな～、、、。ウィスコンシンとは違うな～
Look at this it goes to the station. Long...Long...deep...deep.....yes we don't have so much space.....
Japanese have funny rules which we kind of need to know. When you are on the escalator and don't want to walk, you have to stand on the left in Tokyo(East of Japan) but in Osaka(west) is opposite!!!
So I stood on the left side and click!!
I was going to exit B5 but I came up at B2. I walked probably about half mile...even it is the same station,,,,,,.Once you go out of the station, I don't know if you can find the exit which you really wanted to go. If you are in Tokyo, make sure which exit you want to go out!!
