ニューオリンズ New Orleans

少しずつアメリカ南東部トリップのブログをアップしていこうと思います。4/13朝９時ビロクアを出発。３０分走ったところで私の財布やらＩＤやらが入ったバックを置いてきたことに気づき、、、。お家に舞い戻り。１時間のロス。気を取り直してひたすらドライブ。南へ向かっているのでだんだん暖かくなっていく。それに外の景色も緑がどんどん増えていく。途中テネシーのメンフィス付近のホテルに一泊。到着したのは午後9時半ぐらい。翌日９時半に出発し、ニューオリーンズに４時半到着！ボーイズ達、長いドライブだったけどよく頑張った！そしてクロービス、１人で運転ありがとう！さて、ニューオリンズはミュージックで有名ですが、この日はちょうどフレンチクウォーターミュージックフェスティバルに出くわした！We are here in New Orleans! We left home on April 13th around 9AM. Half hour later I realized I forgot my bag,,,, it has everything,,, so we went home to get it. Well it's O.K,,,, We arrived hear Memphis TN around 9:30PM so that we can get some sleep for another long driving the following day. It was very nice to feel the climate changing every hour as we drive down south. It is getting greener and greener too.Finally we arrived in New Orleans! We drove straight to French Quarter. 海沿いのステージを見に行く前にトラムを発見。Tram!!

ふみきり～日本のように”チンチンカンコン”というわけではないんだけど、ボーイズ達はもう夢中！The rail crossing sign is pretty exciting for boys.

 もちろんフィンのハイライトに。ピースしながらもカメラなんて向いてくれません。He is busy no time for camera!

トラムが終わればもう用はなし、バタンキューのフィン。ミュージックを聞くと踊りださずにはいられないキイ。After tram ride, Finn fell in sleep. Kii woke up from his cat nap and ready to dance!

さすがフランスの影響が見られる建物で素敵。It is a beautiful town.

バーが立ち並ぶ。子供たちが大きくなったら今度はクロービスと二人でまた来たいなー。Lots of bars and music!

 

路上でコンサートを始めるグループ。楽器を弾きながらも車が来たらみんなに端に寄るように手で合図するストリートミュージシャン。とっても素敵だった！It really loved this band. My favorite part was the lady in the band kept the traffic smooth telling people to move when cars were coming by hand signal while she was playing the clarinet.

 長い長いドライビングの後にようやくリラックスできたキッズ達。Boys loved being out of their car seats!

 郷土料理はスパイシーなケイジャン料理。魚介の出汁がきいたガンボ。おいしかった！I really wanted to eat real Gumbo! It was nice and spicy!
