マウイ島上陸！ Landed in Maui

10月２２日からのコロラド、カリフォルニアの旅を経て、１１月１６日、マキトドちゃんにオークランドの空港まで見送ってもらい、とうとうアメリカ本土を旅立ちハワイの中でも２番目に大きい島マウイ島へこの冬を過ごすために向かった。Our trip to West started from Oct 22nd. On Nov 16th, Maki took us to Oakland airport and finally we were off the main land of the US! Many of you might already know, we are living in Hawaii for this winter!!!
今回乗ったのはアラスカ航空。オークランドからはマウイのカフルイ空港まで直行便がこの１１月から始まったので今回は約５時間ほどでマウイに到着！しかも片道航空券で一人＄２４５。アメリカ国内線となるので荷物１つ目＄１５二つ目＄２５の追加があるがいずれにしてもお安い！アラスカ航空やハワイアン航空、そしてノースウェスト、ユナイテッド等等＄１８０位からのチケットもあるが、経由便や乗り継ぎの時間がかなり悪い事もある。私たちのお席は今回非常口だったので比較的ゆったりな空間。でもリクライニング禁止だったけど、、、。それにしても足が全部伸ばせちゃうぐなんて！てか私の足の長さの問題か、、、。Alaska airlines had a great deal. They started offering a direct flight from Oakland to Maui just this November!! Our ticket was $245/pp + depending on how many bags you have. Other carrier also have great deals like Hawaiian Airlines, United, Northwest etc. The cheapest one we saw was $180 but it was not a direct flight and you had to wait many hours for the transfer. Our seats were by the emergency door so we had little bit more leg space but we couldn't put the seat back. Look at my legs!! Is it so much space? or are my legs so short??

空港ではあのレイをかけてくれるのかな～なんて思ってたら、、、、甘かった。私たちツアーできているんじゃないのよね、、、、。荷物をピックアップしていよいよ外へ！ハワイってヒッチハイクも安全なんだって。We were imagining to get given leis at the airport,,,, but no one gave us a leis :( the tour groups got them?,,,, oh well. we just quickly picked up our bags and went out side!!!! hitch hiking??!! We were told that in Hawaii it is very safe to do it!!
今回インターネットで予約したのはこのアロハレンタカー。有名どころのレンタカーのように新しめの車のレンタカーではなく、ある程度使われてきた要するにB級の車のレンタル。といっても点検はきちんとされていて、不快な事はない。それに１週間約＄１７５前後、１日単位だと＄２８＋保険＋税金。空港にお迎えが来る。今回は４日間予約してその間に車を探す予定！！さ～て、向かうは我が家となるワイエフという地域にあるお家。We booked a car for rent on line. The company is called ALOHA Rent a car!! Sounds Hawaiian!! The cars are not new but they have a cheaper rate. Of course they check for safety and it is comfortable too. It's about $175/week $28/day +insurance and tax. Not too bad at all! This time we rented for 4 days so we have to find a car to buy soon!! But first of all, let's go to the house we are going to be living in!!!!

大きなデッキにプールに海が目の前？！Huge deck, swimming pool, hot tub and ocean in front!!
じゃ～～～ん！私たちのベッドルームからの景色！ちょっと興奮気味！！！しばらく海、遠かったもんな～～～～～～～。ウィスコンシンからは海までは何千キロって世界なのに今は５０Ｍも行けばそこは海！うひょ～～～～～～ハワイに来たってかんじ～～～～～～！！！今後はしばらくマウイでの生活の様子をお届けします！！Yes! This is our bed room! Oh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I am so happy to be by the ocean! Our closest ocean is a couple of thousand miles from Wisconsin but here, it is just right out the door!!!! We are going to find out more about Maui!ALOHA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ !!
