ビロクアのお隣の街ウェスビーは、ノルウェーからの移民の人々が多く住む。毎年5月にノルウェーフェスティバルが行われる。この日は最終日でパレードが行われていた。The town called Westby is just 5 min from Viroqua in a car. They have a big Norwegian festival every year in May.
確かにウィスコンシンにはノルウェーやスウェーデンと言ったスカンジナビアンのルックスの人が多い。Wisconsin has a lot of Scandinavian looking people.
ｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽ、似合いすぎ。ノルウェーにいてもおかしくないね。Clovis,,,, you could be Norwegian.

クッキーモンスターのｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽはかなり興奮気味！Cookie monster Clovis is very excited!
ノルウェーのゴートチーズやハムのオープンサンド。スカンジナビアの国ではライムギ等を使ったパンもとってもおいしい！白いくるくる巻かれているのはラクサといって、うす～いポテトのクレープみたいな感じのもの。バターを塗ってくるくる巻いて食べる。We had open sandwiches with Norwegian goat cheese, Lafsa, and cookies!
もうひとつみんなに勧められたデザートはRommegrot。あたたかいカスタードクリームの甘くない感じのもので、その上にブラウンシュガーとシナモンをお好みでかけて食べる。なかなかいける～！小さな町のお祭りに、たくさんの人々が参加して盛り上がっていました！
Also some one suggested that we have Rommegrot that is like hot pudding. The cream itself is not so sweet so we put brown sugar and cinnamon on the top. It was good! Little town Westby had a lot of people over for the festival!!
