ハナハイウェイドライビングはマウイ観光の中でも特にお勧め。ブログでも度々出てきてるけど、今回は新しい発見をした。ハナの町の近くに、レッドサンドビーチ又はドラゴンバックビーチと呼ばれているらしい。先日はハワイアンモンクス（アザラシ）が現れたらしい！driving the road to Hana is one of the high light to do on Maui. We have done the circle a couple of times but
every time we find something new!! This time, we heard about a Red sand Beach (Dragon back beach) so we tried to find it! A couple of days before we went there, our friends saw
Hawaiian Monks seals there!!
たどり着くまでは少しハイキングしなければならない。落ちないでね～～～ We have to hike up and down some scary stuff to get there.
と、そこに現れたのは！！！赤い砂のビーチだ！近づいて見ると、、、、。Getting closer!!! Wow that is it!! Red sand beach!!
うわ～プールになってる！マウイは火山でできているから、波の浸食で削られた軟らかい層と、まだ残っている硬い溶岩質でこんな地形ができたんだ！プールの中には波が押し寄せるごとに少々水が入ってきてまた出ていく。早速このプールで泳いでみました！うわ～さいこ～～～！Water ate away the soft layer of soil but the lava layer still remains, making a pool!! When waves come, water comes into the pool and go out. How cool it is!! Of course we enjoyed swimming in there!!
さて、今度は、ハナハイウェイドライブのツアー等に参加するとたいてい立ち寄ると思われるステートパーク。ここは、足場も比較的安全で柵等も整ったステートパーク。キャンプ場もあります。After the beach, we stopped at the state park. There are easier hiking trail so you can bring your family here! And most of the Tour buses stop here.
ここには、溶岩が流れた時に、通った道が洞窟のように残っている。 Lava tube!!
小さな穴をくぐり抜けると What's in there? Let's go inside!
うわ～溶岩が作ったトンネルだ！Wow lava went through here!!
今回は波が比較的穏やかだったのでブローホールからは水は噴き出していなかったけど、岩と岩の間の隙間をみると今にも水が噴きあがってきそうでスリル満点！The waves were too small to come up through the blow whole but if you look between the rocks, it feels like water is coming any minutes!!
