この日はハレアカラへ。その手前にあるヤギファームに寄ってみた。その名もサーフィンゴートデイリーファーム！ウィスコンシンでファームツアーを企画する身としてはファームツアーに参加してみねば！（１人７ドル） Haleakala day! On the way there, we stopped by Surfing goat dairy farm. the name sounds very Hawaiian~! Let's join the farm tour!
ヤギのミルクから作られる石鹸、その他、おもにチーズが販売されている。They have many different flavor of fresh goat cheese and soaps made from goat milk.
ツアーの初めはまずはフレッシュゴートチーズの試食。チーズ王国ウィスコンシンから来た二人は真剣。アイボリーコースト（ブラックペッパー）、マウイシークレット（オリーブオイル、レモンの皮、フレッシュタイム）そして、ピンポンボールはオリーブオイルとガーリック漬けのボール型チーズを購入！Clovis and Jane are very serious about cheese, they are from Wisconsin!! We choose Ivory Coast(Black pepper), Maui secret(Olive oil, Lemon zest, fresh thyme) and Ping pong ball (Olive oil and garlic) to buy!
さていよいよヤギにご対面！餌（＄６）Here they are! You can feed baby goats ($6) !
ベイビーヤギ。かわい～～～～！この後はミルクを絞る設備やチーズを作る作業場を見て説明を聞く。ツアー自体は、、、、う～ん、ど～だろう。もっとミルクを絞っている所とか実際に見られるといいな～。さて、ゴートチーズもゲットした事だし、そろそろお腹がすいて来た、、、。チーズはもちろんゲットするつもりだったので、クラッカーとちょっとしたピクニックランチを用意してきたから眺めがいい場所でランチタイムにしよっかな～とたまたま通りかかったクラというエリアにあるいちごファーム。Oh~ babies are so cute! The tour guide explained how to milk and showed us the facility. Well the tour itself is not too impressive but nice to pet the babies!! We were getting hungry. Let's have a picnic! ?? We found a strawberry farm with nice views and picnic tables!
このエリアはマウイの中でもかなりお気に入り。海の景色が高台から眺められる！このファーム、かわい～！This area is called KULA, it is one of our favorite place on Maui! We can see the ocean and all of west maui from Kula. it has gorgeous views!!
お店にはイチゴはもちろん、新鮮なお野菜がた～くさん！しっかりたっぷりゲットしました！They have lots of strawberries and also fresh vegetables! Jane and I were so excited! Look! I can't hold any more!!
ピクニックテーブルがあったので早速ランチタイム！腹ごしらえが終わったら次はラベンダーファームへ！ Lunch time!!! We had the goat cheese and strawberries and some snacks!! uuuuuuu yummy!! Well now we are going to the Lavender farm!
シーズンではなさそうだけどこれ、一面紫の時にきてみたいな～～～！ラベンダー以外にもきれいに色々なお花が植えられていました！It wasn't really season but can you imagine when it has lots of purple lavender??!! They also have a nice garden with many interesting flowers!
ガーデンの入場料は無料。お店ではブーケも購入可能！その他ラベンダーのエッセンスや、スキンケア用品、ラベンダークッキー、シロップ、いろんなグッツが売っています。ラベンダーコーヒーはミルクを入れると更にラベンダーの香りが引きたってかなりいけてました！そしてお料理用のドライラベンダーを購入！最近ハーブにはまってます！そろそろハレアカラ山頂へ向かわねば！You can buy this bouquet for $10!! It is beautiful!! They have many lavender goods such as lotions, essences, cookies, lavender for cooking etc. We tasted lavender coffee! Put little bit of milk and you will taste more lavender flavor then coffee flavor! It's so good! OK now we are going to the top of Haleakala!
くねくねした道をどんどん進んで、ハレアカラのクレーターへ到着。今日はきれいに澄んだお天気になった！山頂３０５５ｍ Oh!!!!! Look, it is very clear today!! The top of Haleakala is 12,000ft!
おっと！ハワイ島もバッチリ見えている！You can see Hawaii Island on a clear day!
ジェーンも空を飛んだ。（恒例になってきました！） Jane flew too! We always fly for our photos when we come here!
ビロクア（ウィスコンシン）のお友達シャーと何年かぶりにマウイで再会のジェーン！シャーは最近このマウイで土地を購入！これからここに娘さんやその旦那さん達とお家を立てていくらしい！楽しみ～！てか、うらやましい、、、、。この後皆で’ハイク’という街にあるレストランで夕食を。このレストランはローカルフード、オーガニック食材を使っている。ディナーにはフィッシュバーガー、デザートにはパッションフルーツチーズケーキ。かなりいけてました！今日も満喫した一日でした！Char, who is also from Viroqua, and Jane hadn't seen each other for a couple of years. char just bought a property on Maui and was nice enough to show it to us. It is a beautiful spot! The ocean is just light there!!! Then we went for dinner in the Haiku area. The restaurants uses a lot of local organic ingredient and taste great! The passion fruit cheese cake we had for desert was sooooooooo good!!! it was another great day trip!!
