スタンフォード大学 Stanford University

ヤシの木が立ち並ぶ何とも南の雰囲気を醸し出すこの敷地は東のハーバード、西のスタンフォードともいわれるかの有名なスタンフォード大学のキャンパス。敷地は何と甲子園球場の８３０個分だそうだ。そしてわが内閣総理大臣鳩山由紀夫さんもここを卒業とか！退学だったけどタイガーウッズも通ってたんだね～。Palm trees! This is the campus of Stanford University!! Our current prime minister is an alumni of this university!
Hoover Tower の展望台からの眺め。（＄２）晴れた日にはサンフランシスコベイも見える！エレベーターを待っている間は３１代目Hoover大統領とその奥さん（二人ともこの大学の卒業生）のExhibit を見学できる。We went up to the observation platform. We can even see San Francisco Bay too! There is a Exhibit Pavilion of Mr. and Mrs Hoover. (31st US President)
キャンパスの中にはRodin(ロダン）の作品が並ぶ美術館などもありキャンパス内にも様々な銅像芸術が見受けられる。There is a Rodin Museum in the campus.

そして奥には教会が。Church彫刻もすごいな～Beautiful architecture.
今日の狙いのルルレモン（ヨガウェアーで人気の）主催のフリーヨガがこのキャンパス内屋外で開催の予定がキャンセルになってしまった。ま、いっか～！色々見学できて満足満足！そしてこの日はマキトドちゃんのご近所さんと一緒にお好み焼きディナーをしました！ほんと、日本みた～～い！！We were hoping to have a Yoga lesson (free) at this campus presented by Lulu lemon but it got canceled unfortunately. But that is OK we saw a beautiful campus! And we went home and had Okonomi Yaki with one of Maki's neighbors, Irene!
