日本へ向けてのチャリティーイベントをこのアメリカの小さな田舎町ビロクアで４月１６日に企画しています
！今回のイベントの名前が決定しました。'YAMATO, JAPAN FUNDRAISER'ポスターイメージに日本の文字を使ったらどうかというみんなの意見から、私たちが選んだのは’和’。平和、人々の和、自然と人間の和、そして日本と、あらゆる思いを込めて。私のイメージを禅画を学んでいるシダローズにアレンジしてもらってデザインが完成しました！これから、高校生達がこのデザインでＴ－シャツを作ってくれる予定。Ｔ－シャツで得られるお金はすべて募金として日本に送ります！The name is 'YAMATO, Japan Fundraiser' ! I think if it's perfect name! Yamato 和 means peaceful, unite, circle and Japan. Cedarose designed for our poster and T-shirts! It looks great! Mt. Fuji and a Cherry blossom, a crane and it says Viroqua in read. We will make paper crane at the event too!
今回のイベントに、日本の伝統ミュージックを取り入れたいという事で、ビルさんがシカゴやミルウォーキー、ミネアポリスなど、探しまわってくれました。日本の災害へのチャリティーイベントで、ミュージシャンたちは引っ張りだこのようでなかなか見つからず半ばあきらめ始めていたその時、ミーティングの日ぎりぎり１時間前になんと尺八を演奏してくれる方が見つかりました！しかもアメリカ人で。うわ～！レオさんのホームページhttp://www.shakuhachi.com/D-WindLion.html
それにしても他の地域でも日本へのチャリティーイベントがたくさん行われてるって嬉しいですね！
Mr. Bill Neil found a great musician for our event. He said there are many Japanese musician but they are busy because other people are having fundraiser for Japan too. Wow I am so thankful for people doing it for Japan. It was really difficult to find a musician but he finally found a great musician one hour before our second meeting! SHAKUHACHI is one of our old traditional instrument. Not so many people can play nowadays even Japanese. Wow it will be awesome!


イベントの中ではサイレントオークションも行います。これは、人々が提供するアートであったり、マッサージなどのサービスだったりと様々なのですが、提供して頂いたものをオークションにかけます。通常オークションはいくらいくらと人々がその場で金額を言い合いますが、その名もサイレントオークション。紙に金額を書いてのオークションです。お友達のジンさんはチャイニーズマッサージ師で、先日お会いした時に＄１００ぶんのマッサージ券を寄付してくれました。これを誰かが買ってくれると、そのお金は日本への募金として送られ、買った人はマッサージが受けられます。今町の色々な人たちがこのオークションに参加準備をしてくれています！We will also have silent auction. Now we are gathering people who can donate their art and service such as massage, meal service etc. A friend of mine Jin who does Chinese massage donated $100 of her service the other day, I will bring them to the auction! 父の３回忌 My dad's memorial day

今日３月２８日は亡き祖父の誕生日であり父の命日。本当は日本で皆と３回忌を予定していたけど、日本がこんな状況になってしまい、日本行きはキャンセル。私たちはウィスコンシンからお祈りすることに。ウィスコンシンのビールで父と乾杯。フィンはお水でね。ご飯も久し振りに焚いてお供え。お花はブルーの菖蒲とやっぱりピンクは欠かせないかな～。あの日、最後にもらった父からの結婚のお祝いの花束がピンクだったから。それに私の一番大好きな色。まる２年。本当に早かったな~。お父さん、私たちは幸せな人生をおかげさまで歩んでます。It has been 2 years since my dad passed away. Finn and I were going to Japan for his memorial day but we decided to cancel our trip because of the Earthquake. So we prayed from Wisconsin and I got Wisconsin beer for him for 'Canpai' water for Finn though. The flower bunch has iris and little bit of pink flower. The flower bunch I was given by my dad 2 years ago was full of Pink and that is my favorite color. Wow time flies,,,,.
Thanks Dad, now my life if full of happiness and love.

日本のニュースからやはり目が離せない毎日。募金活動やイベントに向けての準備でそわそわの中、先日に引き続き、、、。息子は一人で遊ぶ日々。ふと気がつけば今度は顔にボールペンで書いちゃった、、、。I have been busy for checking news about Japan and also donation campaign etc,,, My son Finn has been playing alone. Look at his face,,, I feel bit guilty,,,, I am sorry Finn,,,,

春は確実にやってきている！Spring is coming slowly but surely!

地震のニュースにくぎ付けになり、毎日パソコンの前に座りっぱなし。気がつけばもうすぐ９か月の息子は一人で遊んで着かれてこんなところで寝ちゃってた、、、。ごめんねフィン、、、。そうだ、いいお天気だし、今日は３人でキカプーにハイキングに出かけよう！I have been sitting down in front of my computer to watch the news about Japan. I saw my 9 months old son Finn fell in sleep in the jonny jump up,,,. I'm sorry Finn,,,, so we decided to go for hiking at Kickapoo!
暖かくなってきたウィスコンシン。積もった雪もだんだん減ってくる。It's getting warmer and warmer here in Wisconsin. Snow has been melting day by day!
うわ～澄んだ空の下でのハイキングはほんと気持ちよかった！It was so nice out there.
みてみて！もう春だね！Look! Trees are budding!!
確実に春がやってきている。Yes! For sure spring has just started!!
日本で会うのを楽しみにしていた皆さん、フィンはようやくハイハイができるようになり、この２、３日ではハイハイからお座りが一人でできるようになりました。そして食べ物を持たせると口に入れる事もできます！いつか会える日を心待ちにしてます！フィンは２時間ほどのハイキングも寝ないでずっと木々、小鳥、新鮮な空気を楽しんでました。日本の被災地の皆さんにも一刻も早く春のぬくもりを感じて頂きたいと願っています。Dear family and friends I'm sorry I can't bring Finn over to Japan now but he is doing awesome! Now he is able to crow and recently he sits up from crowing position. He picks up a tiny food and put it into his mouth by himself! I really hope that people in Japan can feel the coming warm spring a.s.a.p!

ヘルプ 日本！Help Japan!

毎週土曜日の町のマーケット。冬の間はインドアでのファーマーズマーケット。そうだ、ここにも募金箱を置いてもらおう！Every Saturday there is a farmer's market at the public market in Viroqua. I visited there and asked to put the donation jar for Japan.
ロビンはいくつかのファーマーズマーケットを回っているので、その都度この募金箱を持って行ってくれる事になりました。お客さんからもすでに募金にご協力して頂きました！Robin who makes amazing stuff using herb such as tinctures, salves, lip balms etc. She goes different farmer's market. She said she can bring the donation jar with her where ever she goes! Her clients donated already while I was there! Thank you so much!!

町のレストラン’オプティモ’ ＆ドリフトレスカフェ Optimo and Driftless Cafe

すぐにスタートできる募金運動。募金箱を町のレストランやカフェにおいてもらおう！ラジオを終えた後、義父母がディナーに誘ってくれたので早速募金箱を持参して。After the radio, Papa George and mama Jane took us for dinner. We prepare the donation jars to bring with us.
今日はオプティモというレストラン。ここのメニューは、９８％元から作っていて、ローカルフードを使うのがモットー。トマトケチャップだって自家製です。様々なイベント等もやっていて、今回のチャリティーイベントへも場所の提供を名乗り出てくれている。今夜はキーボード演奏を聴きながら、おいしくディナーを頂きました。快く協力してくれるスタッフの皆さん、ありがとう！Their foods are mostly local and they make 98% from scratch! They have interesting event every week. Tonight we had nice Piano music. Thank you so much for helping Japan!

ビロクアコミュニティーラジオステーション Driftless Community Radio

ビロクアには、コミュニティーの人たちで運営されているラジオ番組があります。キャスターたちはみなボランティア、コミュニティーからのドネーションによる運営をしています。Our community radio 'Driftless Community Radio'http://www.wdrt.org/. Everyone is donating their time and people donate money too.
今回の地震の募金活動に、コミュニティーの人たちも協力してもらおうと、ラジオでの紹介をお願いしたら思いもよらず私もラジオデビューとなった。う～ドキドキ。We asked to announce the community meeting for Japan on Monday. Tamara invited me for the radio too. Wow,,, I am going to be on the radio!!!

募金活動ミーティング a meeting for the donation

急なミーティングだったにも関わらず、ＹＩＨＣhttp://www.yihs.net/の生徒さん達が日本への募金活動に向け、２回目のミーティングを昨夜開いてくれた。We had another meeting with the students of the YIHS, although it was very short notice a good core group came ready to help,,, Thank you so much Kenzie, Sylvie, Jenna, Allie, Dawn and Vince!
すぐ実行できる募金箱の設置や、この先のチャリティーイベントの案を出し合ったり、より多くの地域の人々に協力をしてもらうためのコミュニティーミーティングの設定等。被災地のみなさんに少しでも私たちの気持ちが伝わりますように。心の支えにもなりたいとビロクアから声援を送ります。
We were talking about putting donation jars around the area and also future event ideas for fund-rising. 関東地方大震災ビロクアの町から応援を！Praying for Japan from Viroqua

関東地方大震災から１週間がたとうとし、毎日インターネットにくぎ付けで日本の情報を得る。アメリカのこの小さな町でも私をみると、日本の方々の事祈ってるからねと声をかけてくれたりする人も多々。私たちはアメリカから何ができるか。物資を送るのも交通網が混乱しているし、こんな遠くから送るよりも、現地のボランティアの方々に託して募金を送るのが一番いいのだろうか、、、。そうだ、町の人にも助けてもらおう！It has been a week since the big earthquake hit...　I have been watching the news constantly. It seems terrible,,,,. What can we do here in the U.S.... Donating is the only thing that we can do so far. Since we are so far away, money is probably the best thing to send at this point. We asked Youth Initiative High School to help us!
今朝、町の高校生達のミーティングに参加させてもらって、募金活動や、ファンダライジングの相談を開始しました。生徒たちは実行委員を結成し、今夜またミーティングを開きます。いち早くできる事はきっと募金箱をあらゆるレストランやカフェ、ショップへおいてもらう事、ファーマーズマーケットなどの人が集まってくる所での募金運動、そして少し時間は要するけど、ファンダライジングの計画。このユースイニシティブハイスクールは、学校運営の資金をファンダライジングで集める事が多々あり、生徒、先生方もエクスパートなので、心強い。今後、より多くの町の人たちに協力してもらって、日本への募金を集めたいと思ってます。日本の被災地のみなさん、そして、日本で支えあって頑張っている皆さん、私たちにできる事から始めてます。この先も頑張ってください！
We joined their student meeting this morning. All the students are happy to help out. Now we are gathering ideas for donation gathering and fund raising events. パスポート the Passports

３月１４日の日本行きに向けてフィンのパスポートをゲット。アメリカと日本の両方のパスポートが必要なんですね、、、。ウィスコンシンには日本の領事館はなく普段はシカゴまで（片道５時間のドライブ）とりに行かなければいけない所年に２回ほどマディソン市まで出張サービスがある。それでも片道２時間。しかし、日本の状況が悪化し、被災地の方々はもちろんの事、関東周辺では計画的に停電がエリアごとに協力している方々、そして本数が限られている電車に必死に乗っての出勤をまぬかれない人々の事を思うととても私たちが行くべき時ではないと判断し、今回は断念することに、、、。母はまだ私の息子に会った事がないから、、、。本当に残念だけど仕方がない、、、。予定を開けてくれたみなさんも、ほんと残念です、、、。でも今は一刻も早く日本が回復する事、被害がこれ以上広まらないよう願うのみです、、、。Finn got passports for Japan! But ,,,,, as you know it became terrible disaster we decided to cancel our trip this time,,,. I have been watching live news about Japan. It is incredible. Earthquake, Tsunami, Nuclear power plants,,,,,, People are having a blackout bit by bit around Tokyo area to save electricity, limited trains are working and people try to get to their office which takes them twice or 3 times longer trip sometimes... Radioactive material,,,,, we really don't know the fact how much dangerous situation now for real,,,,. Now I have to find something I can do.... I am thinking about putting some donation box around town,,, I am sure people in Viroqua will help for it!
今ウィスコンシンでは公務員の方々の労働条件交渉ができなくしてしまう政府に対しての抗議が盛んにされています。この日は土曜日でたくさんの人たちがプラカードを持って抗議していました。One the way from the Consulate of Japan, we drove through the Downtown in Madison. There were lots of people protesting.

ｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽバースデー Clovis' Birthday!

３月１１日はｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽの誕生日。この特別の日には普段忙しいお友達も駆けつけてくれました！We had a party for Clovis' Birthday. Many friends came to celebrate with him!
さ～今回のバースデーケーキリクエストはｷｰライムパイ！This year he requested ' Key lime pie'!
フロリダｷｰ諸島で有名なｷｰライムを使ったパイ。卵黄と練乳そしてｷｰライムを混ぜるだけ。ｷｰライムは普通のライムと比べると半分ぐらいの大きさなので絞るのが大変だけど愛情込めて絞りました！Key limes are super small and hard to squeeze without an electric squeezer.
トップはメレンゲが特徴！Meringue on top!
今回は’カリブ’をテーマに（決してウィスコンシンは夏ではありません。）まだまだ寒いウィスコンシンでのトロピカルな一時を味わえたパーティーになりました。The theme was 'Caribbean'! Outside the house it is below 32 F though!

東北地方太平洋沖地震

この度の東北地方太平洋沖地震により亡くなられた方々のご冥福をお祈り申し上げますとともに、被災された皆様、そのご家族の方々に対しまして、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
一日も早い復旧復興をお祈り申し上げます。

地震が起きてしばらくブログも書く気が起きず、、、。毎日ニュースにくぎ付けの今日この頃。父の３回忌の為３月１４日日本行きを予定していたものの、状況 の悪化から少し延期に。しかしながら原発の問題、余震が続く中、やはり今回はまるっきりキャンセルも考えなければいけないかもと言うところまで来て、何よ り被災地の皆さんの事を思うと心が苦しく、何も手に付かなかったので久し振りにブログに復帰しました。引き続き、日本の様子をニュースで見ながら、一刻も 早い復興、そしてこの先の災害が起こりませんようにと祈っています。

週末ビジター Weekend visiters!

先週末はアイオア州に住むお友達が遊びに来てくれました！こうしてみると２歳ﾉｱはとっても大きい！フィンと１カ月違いで産まれて来たエバちゃん。他の赤ちゃんやキッズをみる機会があまりないフィンにとってはとっても刺激的です！Our friends that live in Iowa visited us last weekend! Noah(2 years old) looks big compare to the babies! Finn doesn't have much chance to see other kids. It was an exciting day for him! And of course us too!
さ、おこちゃま達はパパ達にお任せしてママ二人はソリでおおはしゃぎ。ちょっと温かい日が続いたと思ったらまたどさっと雪が降りました！雪遊びの後のサウナは最高でした！その後赤ちゃん達は眠りに入るのに一人が泣いたらもう一人も泣いて。寝静まるのに１時間ほどかかりました。うわ～双子を育てている家族ってこんな感じなんかな？！大変だ～～～～～。We Moms enjoyed the sledding while the dads were watching the kids and then we took Sauna after that. It was awesome! At night, when one baby started crying the other followed. It went on and on for an hour. Wow I can't imagine if we had twins??!!

ビロクアに日本人？！Another Japanese in Viroqua?!

先日私宛に電話がかかってきた。ビロクアの町のアシスタントリビング（老人ホーム）からだった。私が日本人と言う事をこの町の人伝いに聞いたらしい。どうやら、そのアシスタントリビングに日本人の女性がいらっしゃって、日本を懐かしんでいるので会ってくれないかと言う事であった。うわ～この町に日本人が！これで私合わせて３人！I got a phone call from Maple wood (Assistant living). They asked me if I can visit a lady who was born in Japan and came to the U.S a long time ago. Wow another Japanese in Viroqua??!!
シーラさんはアメリカに来て約５０年。なんだか初めて会ったという気はしなかったな～。この日はシーラさんの８１歳のお誕生日。たくさんの人たちとシーラさんが大好きなレモンポピーシードケーキを頂きました！Shiela came to the U.S about 50 years ago. They invited us for her 81st Birthday party! It was the first time I got to meet her! We had yummy Lemon puppy seed cake with many people. she said that it's her favorite cake!!
フィンもすっかり仲良し！Finn enjoyed with her too! Someone asked me Finn's name and I said FINN, but someone said ' He can't be 'THIN' Look at him! He is a chubby guy! Well Yes that's right but my son is Finn,,,,,.

フィッシュオイル Fish Oil

フィッシュオイルとも呼ばれるオメガ３脂肪酸は、αーリノレン酸、エコタペンタエン酸、ドコサヘキサエン酸で、人間の体の必須脂肪酸ですが、体内で作る事ができないので食べ物から摂取しなければなりません。その名の通り魚にたくさん含まれているわけですが、日本を離れて６年、魚を食べる機会がめっきり減った私。子供を産んでからお医者様にも勧められ、毎日フィッシュオイルカプセル摂取しています。魚が大好きだったから、サプリメントでフィッシュオイルを取るなんて考えた事もなかったな～。そうそう、アメリカで承認されてしまいそうな遺伝子組み換えサーモン。もうすぐ市場に出回ってしまうだろう、、、。恐ろしすぎます、、、。生き物って自然であるべきなのに、、、。組み換えて組み換えて、、、。いろんなホルモン入れ換えて、、、。食糧危機を救うなら他にももっと方法があるのに、、、。レストラン、ファーストフードでどさっと捨てられる食料、こっちの方がより手っ取り早く解決できそうな気がするけど、、、。今となっては安全をお金で買える時代も幸せなのかも、、、と思ってしまう今日この頃。'Fish Oil ' I never thought of taking fish oil as a supplement when I was in Japan. Even I thought it was kind of a joke. My midwife Kim recommended that I take fish oil so now I take it every day. Since I have been away from Japan for 6 years I don't eat fish so often, so I guess now it's not a joke. not eating fish Wisconsin is easy because we have such great foods here!! I heard that GMO salmon will be approved,,,, soon ,,,,,OMG,,,,,, scary!!!!!! I am glad that my main protein diet has been changed,,,.
私の食生活の蛋白源は、今では魚から肉へと変わりました。でも地元のお肉、おいしいし、不満は特になく、日本へ行く時にはお魚を食べられてうれしいな～と楽しみが増えたし。霜降りがいいとされている日本のお肉に比べると、さっぱりしているアメリカ牛の方が好みかも。アメリカの牛肉は色々あるけれど、安心して食べられ、お味もおいしいのはオーガニックで育ったお肉！ We have such wonderful Beef, pork and chicken here in Wisconsin. Especially Organic and local meat. I don't miss fish so much. Of course I look forward eating fish when I go back to Japan.
健康な毎日を送れますように、安全でおいしいものを食べて今日も家族そろってヨガするか~~~!! We do Yoga every morning since the Valentine's day!! We love living a healthy life!!

春が近づいて来た！ Spring will be soon!

この冬ウィスコンシンには普段以上に雪がどっぷり降りました。でもこの数日とってもあったかくなり、日当たりの良いところは地面が見えるほどにもなり、早速ミニハイキングをしてきました。所々に小さな緑もちらほら！We had tons of snow this year. but the Last couple of days got really warm here in Wisconsin. Some snow has melted and we could even see the ground on the hiking path!
池はまだこの通り凍っているのでアイスフィッシングを楽しむ人の姿も！The pond was still ice and some people were still enjoying ice fishing!
犬もおこちゃまも氷の上で楽しそう！まだまだ寒いけど、だんだん春の気配が感じられるのはとっても幸せ！Running on the ice and soaking up the sunshine feels great!
