天ぷらの衣や油の温度の微妙な調節のコツをだんだんつかめてきたようです!お箸での調理もなかなか上手!Tenpura is a simple batter that is extremely difficult to make just right. once it's a perfect batter you have to keep the right oil temperature too. We want to get the Tenpura nice and crunchy! The students did great!
ジャーン!サクサクの天ぷらとカツオと昆布からとった出汁を使った天つゆ。みんな、とっても上手にできました!Wow it looks great! It tasted great too! Next we will dip in the sauce that we made with real Japanese Dashi (Bonito flake and Kelp)!ちなみに先週はオーガニックバレーで大人向けの日本食クラスを開きました。みんな日本食に興味津々。もうちょっと材料が簡単に手に入るといいな~。
Last week we did a Japanese cooking class at Organic Valley too. I hope one day we can get more Japanese ingredient easily here in Viroqua. Everyone seems to enjoy cooking Japanese!
