私達ちっちゃいと思ってたけど、ここまでちっちゃくなっちゃった？！I thought we were small people but not this small!
今日はウィスコンシン州ミルウォーキーにある美術館へやってきました！フィンお初の美術館。静かにできるかな～と心配したけど、次から次へと作品をきょろきょろと見まわしていたフィンでした！今からアートセンスを磨いてね～ We were in the Milwaukee Art Museum in eastern Wisconsin. It was Finn's first trip to a museum! I was a bit worried if Finn can stay quiet,,, but he loved the museum. He was staring at paintings and other art works.
美術館の外はミシガン湖に面した鳥のデザインで閉館時には翼が閉じ、開館時には翼が開く所が見られます。The bird shaped outside of the museum looks toward Lake Michigan. When the museum is closing we can see the wings closing down and when it's opening the wings open up.
そして夜はママジェーンが日本食レストランでごちそうしてくれました！ウィスコンシンでもこんなに品数があるんだ～ととっても感激！さすがミルウォーキー！Mama Jane took us to one of the best Japanese restaurant in Milwaukee! I didn't expected them to have so many diferent kinds of traditional Japanese dishes! It was delicious!!
フィンの初めて泊まるホテルとなるのはミルウォーキーのホテルASTOR。既にクリスマスツリーのデコレーション。長い廊下やたくさんのドアに目玉が飛び出ちゃうぐらい目を見開いて辺りを見回していました。We spent the night in Milwaukee at Hotel Astor. It's Finn's first Hotel! He was just so excited for everything: big Xmas tree, looooooong hall-way, lots of doors, Elevators, big TV screens on the wall, you name it! I thought his eyes balls were going to fall out, cause he had his eyes so wide open!!
次の日は、植物園へ。３つの大きなドームの中にトロピカル植物、砂漠の植物、そして季節によって変わる花のデコレーションに分かれている。The next day, we went to a botanical garden. There are 3 domes; a tropical plant dome, desert plant dome and a seasonal flower decoration dome.
ウィスコンシンでトロピカル植物を見られるなんて！This is the only way we can see tropical plants in Wisconsin??!!
天井のたか～いドームに興味津々！Finn was excited for the tall ceilings in the domes!
これはｸﾛｰﾋﾞｽがお隣の町ウェスビーで見つけたもの。’旅する虫’サンフランシスコからスタートし、次々と人々にわたって旅をする。ウェブサイトを見ると今までどこを旅してきたのかを見る事ができる。今回はこのドームの中にこっそりおいてきました！次はだれの手に渡るのやら！We left this travel bug in the dorm somewhere! If you Find it help it travel onward!!
今日３月２８日は亡き祖父の誕生日であり父の命日。本当は日本で皆と３回忌を予定していたけど、日本がこんな状況になってしまい、日本行きはキャンセル。私たちはウィスコンシンからお祈りすることに。ウィスコンシンのビールで父と乾杯。フィンはお水でね。ご飯も久し振りに焚いてお供え。お花はブルーの菖蒲とやっぱりピンクは欠かせないかな～。あの日、最後にもらった父からの結婚のお祝いの花束がピンクだったから。それに私の一番大好きな色。まる２年。本当に早かったな~。お父さん、私たちは幸せな人生をおかげさまで歩んでます。It has been 2 years since my dad passed away. Finn and I were going to Japan for his memorial day but we decided to cancel our trip because of the Earthquake. So we prayed from Wisconsin and I got Wisconsin beer for him for 'Canpai' water for Finn though. The flower bunch has iris and little bit of pink flower. The flower bunch I was given by my dad 2 years ago was full of Pink and that is my favorite color. Wow time flies,,,,.
