わずか１カ月ベイビーのカヌー体験！One month old canoe experience!

 5月６日に産まれたキイは１カ月経ちました！驚くほどぐんぐん成長してます。身長は１２センチ伸び、体重は１８００グラムも増えました。うわーフィンの２カ月の時と一緒のサイズや！ Kii is one month old! He is 4 inches taller and 4 LB heaver! Wow it is same size as when Finn was 2 month old!

フィンはファームでアメリカのグランパグランマと一緒にお泊まりに行ったので私達はキイを連れてカヌーへ！Finn was with Grandpa George and Grandma Jane so we decided to go for canoeing with Kii!

赤ちゃん用のライフジャケットもしっかり身につけて！ Of course we put the Baby life jacket on him!

サンセットの西日を浴びながらのビールは最高でーす！ Great with beer!!

水草達がお水をきれいにしてくれるので水中もきれいに見られました！Wow it's Cristal clean water!! 

わーーーい！カナディアングース達の行列！かわいーーー！

 Look! 2 family of Canadian geese!

 このほかに真智子ばーばは直径３０センチほどの大きな亀も見つけました！キイのお初のカヌートリップはば～ばも一緒で１カ月とは思えないぐらいおとなしくカヌーに揺られて私達も楽しむ事が出来ました！！Machiko saw a foot long turtle too! Kii was amazingly quiet on the boat so that we were able to enjoy the canoeing too!

トラクターに夢中のフィン。今日はラクロスにてショッピングの日なのでファームでお留守番。We went for shopping with Machiko in La Crosse so we left Finn on the farm! Bye Bye------!!

買い物帰りにミシシッピー川沿いの公園でフィン達と待ち合わせてBBQ！After we done our shopping, we did cook out by the Mississippi! Finn, Grandpa, Grandma and Great grandpa came too!

フィンは最近単語をつなげてちょっとずつセンテンスを言えるようになりました！トップ　オブ　ダダーーー！！  He says Top of Dada-------

みんなで食べるとおいしいねー！Everyone enjoyed the dinner!

ば～ばと一緒にちびっこクラス The Library with Baba

 

毎週火曜日は３０分間図書館でちびっこクラスがあります。この日はば～ばと一緒に参加しました！英語がわからないというば～ば、全く問題なしのようで、先 生にも褒められてました！We join the class at the library. This time Finn is with Grandma Machiko! Machiko doesn't speak English but look, it's no problem! 

疲れた時も一緒。キイは一日中ば～ばの腕の中！The best cuddle buddy!

ばーばウィスコンシンに到着！Ba-ba Machiko arrived!

 

ついにばーばまちこアメリカに上陸！

Ba-ba(Grandma) Machiko arrived in the U.S.A to meet her grand sons! This is her first time to see our Kids even Finn!

お家に到着前にファームによってジェーンの作ったディナーを一緒に！ば～ばとフィンは初めてあったとは思えないぐらいにすぐに仲良しになりました。We visited the farm on the way home and had a wonderful dinner! Right away Ba~ba Machiko became Finn's good buddy!

ば～ばにファーム仕事をやってみせるフィン。He was showing his great skill for collecting eggs to Ba~ba!

そして、飲み友達。They are drinking buddy too! 

キイも一日中抱っこしてくれるば～ばがいてくれてスーパーハッピーです！Kii is happy too because they became cuddle buddy all day long!

母の日 Mother's day

 今年は母になって２回目、そして息子も一人増えての母の日を迎えました！家族みんなで朝ご飯をレストランで。This is my second year of Mother's day! Now I have two sons! We went to a restaurant for breakfast.

 キイはほんとによく寝てよく飲んであまり泣かないというパーフェクトベイビーです。私達が朝食を食べている間、すやすやと眠り一回も起きず、私達もゆっくり食べることができました！何て親孝行！！Baby Kii sleeps and drinks a lot and doesn't cry so much. Wow he is a perfect baby! While we were eating, he didn't wake up even once so we were able to have nice and relaxed breakfast!
 
フィンはみんなのエンターテイナー。最近は、グランパが一番のプレイメイト！Finn is the entertainer! Grandpa George became one of his best play mate!


レストランでおなかいっぱいになった後は、初夏の気持ちの良い中、公園にみんなで行きました！After breakfast, we went to the Westby park together! Wow it was perfect weather!

 

緑が茂って本当に気持ちがいいーーー！！Oh it is so nice!!!


ダディーがロッククライミングをやるせいか、フィンも岩を見つけるとすぐ登りたがる。 Since daddy Clovis likes rock climbing, Finn also likes to climb a rock!

 こうして自然の中にいられるのって幸せだねーー！子供の笑顔が何よりのギフトです。It is always nice to see delightful tree (My son Kii's name means Delightful tree) and fresh clean air around!! My son's smile is the best gift!


クロービスは、雑草がめっきり占領しているガーデンを数日かけて植え付け準備をしてくれて、さらに産後の体のために、マッサージセラピストさんのギフト券をプレゼントしてくれました。わーーー最高のプレゼントだわーーー！！ありがとーーーー！ Clovis prepared our garden for me so that I can plant our vegetables easier! And gave me a massage gift certificate! It's perfect gifts!! Thank you so much!

ただいま！Home!!

毎日変わるキイの顔。観察するのが面白い！Baby Kii's doing awesome! His face seems like changing everyday! It's so fan to watch it!

 出産お祝いディナー。ノンアルコールのブドウスパークリングジュースと共に乾杯！ふーお疲れ様！でもこれからがスタートです。6日の日曜日の早朝に出産し８日火曜日の朝に退院。早っ！アメリカではこれが普通みたいです。帝王切開でもせいぜい後１日か２日ぐらいで痛み止めもらって家に帰されるという感じです。でもこんなにスムーズな出産だったからそんなに入院しなくっても全然自信もってお家にかえれるわ！The last night of our stay we had the Special Dinner with sparkling grape juice. Kanpa-----i! (Cheers! ) We had Kii on Sunday morning and came home on Tuesday. This time, I am very happy to come home with my healthy body! Last time, I stayed in the hospital for 8days and I was so scared to come home with my beat up body.

 3晩ファームに泊まったフィン。家に帰ってお昼寝が終わった後なぜか今までになくすごく泣いて、ママママママの連続。3日連続で私たちといなかったのは初めて。でもグランマ、グランパの前では全然泣き言を言わないらしい。ちょっとストレスがたまったのかな！？この先、フィンにもちゃんと目を向けながらキイも見ていかないとと、改めて思いました。まだ２歳弱のフィン。頑張ってます。あ、でもファームにお泊りするのは大好きみたいです。Finn stayed on the grandparents farm for 3 nights while we were in the hospital. 3 nights without Mom and Dad is looooong time for this little guy but he made it! We came home all together and after Finn took a nap he was crying so hard,,,, I realized that we should pay attention to him more though we do pay attention to him but now we have our new baby Kii so this is very important time for us to make sure that Finn doesn't feel left out. 

 え？キイ、笑ってるの？！時々寝てる間にこうやって笑みを浮かべます。日本昔話に出てきそうな顔してる？！??!! Is he smiling??!! He is less than a week old though!!Well when he is sleeping sometimes he shows us his smile.

今のところフィンは自分のおもちゃをキイに持ってきてあげたりとお兄ちゃんぶりを発揮！その調子その調子ーーー！！！ベイビーキイにキスも朝から晩までいっぱいします。 Finn has been so nice to Kii so far! He brings his toys to Kii and loves to kiss to his little brother!

 はははーー自分のおもちゃもシェアするから、キイのベットもシェアしていいよねーわーーい！Ｂｙフィン I share my toy so Kii can share his staff too right?!

 フィン、でかっ！！Finn you are BIG!!

ベイビーキイ Baby Kii

人生の一大イベント二度目の出産無事終了ーーー！！

予定日は５月２０日。２週間も早くご対面できるとはラッキー！

この先は↓出産体験のお話になりますのでとばしたい方は次の写真へ。

５月４日から５日までお友達がお家にお泊りに来ていました。

お友達が帰った後、おかたづけをしている４時半ぐらいに破水に気付き助産婦さんへ連絡。フィンをグランパが迎えに来てくれてファームに預けることができたので心配なく病院への準備もできました。陣痛はまだ始まっていなかったので病院へは夜の８時に行って助産婦さんが赤ちゃんの様子を確認後、明日になっても陣痛が始まらなければ促進剤を使おうかなんてプランを立てているとすこーしずつ軽い陣痛のようなものが。でもこの２カ月ぐらいはこんなの毎晩当たり前で、これが本格的な陣痛につながるかどうかはわからにけど、とりあえず病院にそのままステイ。１１時ぐらいになるとだんだん強くなって規則性が出てきた。あら？これって始まり？！まあ、とにかく時計とにらめっこ。１０分から１５分間隔から見事に８分、６分、５分、２時半ぐらいになるころには３分から４分おきに。じゃあ、おとなりの分娩室に移動しましょっか、ということで陣痛の合間を縫って移動。だんだん陣痛を耐えるのがきつくなってきたー、２時半に打った抗生物質（ベイビーが産道を通る時にバクテリアに感染しないためにうった）が効き始めるのが４５分後だから３時１５分以降になったらいきみを開始できるなーなんてひそかに思いながら耐えて耐えて。安産のお友達から聞いていたコツ、’ぎりぎりまで待つ、時が来たら体が自然にわかる’ってことで、その時を待つ。３時３０分ごろ、なんとなくそんな気がしたから分娩台に上がり、ベイビーと共に力を振り絞る。なんとそこから約２０分３時５３分にベイビーは私の胸の上。うわーフィンの時は８時間のプッシュだったぞーーー！今回は１分１秒をじっくり味わえた感動の出産となりました。予定日だった５月２０日にはグランマの６０歳のサプライズパーティーもあって日にちも重なるし、、、、なんて思ってたり、１日前にエコーをとってもらったらすでに３２５０グラムぐらいなんて言ってたから予定日までお腹にいたら大きくなって大変だ、、、なんて心配をしていたり、破水の後、促進剤を使わないといけないのかな、、、なんて思ってたり。こんなママの心配をこのベイビーは一気に取り除いてくれました！もちろんいつも支えてくれるクロービスや、フィン、その他周りの人の応援もすべてに感謝。そして自然界ではスーパームーンという地球と月が一番近づく珍しい満月だったらしく、陣痛の合間、しっかり大きなまんまるお月さまを見ることができました！亡くなった父の誕生日の１日前ってのも、なんだか父が助けてくれたような気持ちになりました。We did it! It was so smooth and perfect timing for everything. We had our friends over on the Friday the 4th and had a wonderful time together. Next day after they left, while we were cleaning up our kitchen around 4:30, my water broke. Grandpa George came to pick up Finn so we didn't have to worry about Finn while I am in labor. My contraction hadn't started yet so we   went to the hospital around 8PM. We decided to stay in the hospital just in case. around 9 :30 I was getting very weak contraction but I have been getting like this weak ones for a couple of month so I wasn't sure if my contraction would became active. Then around 11PM it became stronger and constantly. Well, I think this is the pattern I supposed to get. I was holding my watch and checking the time between the contractions. 8min 6min, 5min and 3min so we moved to the labor room around 2:30. The friend who just visited us told her wonderful birth experience and gave me a great ideas about how I should do. One of the thing that she said was Wait until you really feel it. You will feel it very naturally. 3:30 my body told me to push so I started. in 20 min later, baby Kii was on my chest! Wow I pushed Finn for 8 hours but 20min for Kii??!! This time I ENJOYED the labor. I mean birth is a lot of work but I am so happy to share the time with my little Kii and of course my family. Baby Kii knew the timing and he made everything so smooth! And it was the  supper full moon day!! 2 weeks early birth. Kii was already 7lb and 2.5oz. It would have been harder if he came on the due date (5/20) I am sure my dad, who passed on 3 years ago, helped us too. Kii was born just one day before my dad's birthday (5/7).

翌日、フィンがとうとうリトルブラザーにご対面！Next day Finn came to see his little brother!

でも今はやっぱりトラックのほうがおもしろいな。Well for now, I think I will just play with my truck.

フィンとキイ。どっちがどっちでしょう？！生まれたてってみんなはれぼったく出てくるね。二人ともあんな細い産道をよく通り抜けてきてくれたわー　生まれたての二人の顔は両親の私たちでもちょっと迷ってしまうぐらいそっくりです。We parents even can't tell which one is which from their newborn photos sometimes! Can you tell which one is Baby Kii?!

これなーに？！What's this Finn?!

ひこうきーーーーー！！！実はフィンが書きました！え？もう飛行機が書けるの？！ただの偶然だっただけど、”ひこうきーーーひこうきーーー”とフィンが行っているので見たらほんとに飛行機みたいな絵が出来上がっててびっくり！"Hikooki------ " which is Airplane in Japanese. Finn was drawing something and suddenly said this word and we looked at it. Yes it looks really airplane!!  It was probably by accident but Well done!!!

フィンはプロジェクトデスクが大好き！Finn loves his project table! 

88歳のバースデー Great Grandpa's 88th birthday

 4月１８日はフィンのひいおじいちゃんの８８歳のお誕生日。足をけがしてから車椅子でしばらく生活しているおじいちゃんもフィンと乾杯することができてうれしそう！4/18 is grate grandpa Bob's birthday! Finn got to do Kanpai (Cheers) with him!

フィンはまだ哺乳瓶から飲むのが大好きだけど、特別にスパークリングアップルジュースをコップで上げたらぐいぐい飲んでました。早く卒業してくれないかなーーーー。He still loves to drink out of his milk bottle but we gave him some sparkling apple juice so he was happily drinking from a glass!  We are hoping that he graduate his milk bottle soon,,,,.

おじいちゃん、８８歳のお誕生日おめでとーーー！！！一緒にお祝いできてよかった！Happy 88th birthday grate grandpa! 

初めてのお泊まり Finn without Mom and Dad?!

うれしそうにグランンパ抱っこされているフィン。この日４月２０日は記念すべきお初の一人でお泊り！グランパの職場で知らない人はいないぐらいみんなが知っていた。グランパ、相当うれしかったのねーーー！さーどうなる事やら！グランパの車に乗ってドアを閉め、クロービスと私に元気よくバイバーイって。？？！！予想外。意外に行けるかも。かなりのママっこなのにねー。Today is the day! Finn goes to the Grandparents' farm and stay over night without mom and daddy!!! Grandpa came to our house to pick him up! So far seems fine. Finn said bye bye to us happily. Wow it's good sign to start! Well we will see!
ファームには動物もたくさんいるし、フィンの一番好きなアクティビティーは鶏小屋から卵をバスケットに入れて運ぶこと。There are many animals on the farm so Finn loves them! Especially pick up eggs from Chicken house!
今は８時ぐらいまで明るいのでお外に出てサンセットをおもちゃ片手に待ってます。It is light until around 8pm nowadays. He was waiting for sunset with horsey!
さ、グランパが作ったアメリカン原住民のティーピーで寝るよー！夜中１時半に突然’ママ！！’とたちあがったらしいけど、その後またおとなしく朝まで寝てたらしい。わーーーーすごいすごい！This is his Tipi. Grandpa George made for him! 1:30 at night he stood up and said 'Mama!' but went back to sleep without crying until morning! Wow good job!
同じファームの敷地に住んでいるパマちゃんと遊ぶのが本当に楽しいみたい！朝からベットでぴょんぴょん！ダディーが迎えに来てもパマちゃんと遊ぶ方がエクサイトしてたみたい！Pama who lives on the farm played with Finn. Daddy Clovis showed up but he was not too excited as he was having so much fun!

おかげさまでクロービスと私は静かな二人の時間を久しぶりに楽しみました！町のレストランへ行ってお食事。こんなにゆっくり二人でレストランで食べられるのってめったにない！もうすぐ次の赤ちゃんが誕生したらなおさらだーーーー！！フィンも全然泣かずに、楽しんでたみたい！予想外もいいところ！フィン、そしてグランパ、グランマ、ありがとねーーーー！！初めてのお泊まりは大成功でした！！It was so wonderful he and his grandparents did great! And we had great time just two of us went to a local restaurant and enjoyed dinner and quiet time! Our next baby is coming soon so it was even really special time for us! Thanks Finn, George and Jane!!

まぶだち a real friend

最近お隣さんの猫が気になって仕方ないフィン。Finn is so curious about the Himana's cat!

春ってすてき！ I love spring!

朝から着替えも半分でプロジェクトに励むフィン。スパイスやら何やらが入っているキッチンだなからすべて中身を取り出すことに集中。たまーにもとに戻してくれますが、、、。Mr. project Finn was working on my spice shelf in the kitchen.
春日和が続くお外で日光浴を楽しみます。見た目ちびっ子ギャングです。Mr. Finn was enjoying the sun. He looks like a little gangster.
春の定番チューリップももうあちらこちらで見かけられます。お友達がおすそ分けしてくれました！We have been having such a great spring. Our friend Jennifer gave us cute Tulips!
だんだんお友達とも遊べるようになってきたフィン Little friends are having fun!
今日は来月生まれる予定の赤ちゃんの洋服をたくさんお洗濯。フィン、ずいぶんおっきなったなーーー！It was such a nice weather so I washed a lot of cloths for my second baby who will come out next month! Wow Finn, you are not a baby any more!!!
