2017年皆既日食とシンクスキャニオン 2017 Solar Eclipse and the Sinks National forest!

夏は大忙し。いっぱいキャンプして、ブログは全然更新できず、、、。少しずつ更新していきまーす！Oh, summer was so busy! I haven't able to update my blog so loooong!!! It will come little by little!We did a lot of camping this summer but here is our one of two big camping trips!

強行突破の長距離ドライブ11時間の後、つい2週間前にいたサウスダコダのナショナルフォーレストで1泊キャンプ、翌日さらに7時間ほどのドライブで、ワイオミ州は、シンクスキャニオンナショナルフォーレストにてキャンプ。今回は皆既日食のおかげで、今までにない混雑が予想され、キャンプサイトの予約できるところはどこも満員。ナリョナルフォーレストでは、ちょっとしたルールはあるものの、14日間どこでもキャンプをしてもよいことになっていて、しかも無料。トイレやシャワーはないのが基本だけど、中には簡易トイレがあるところもある。到着し、キャンプスポットを探していると、トイレ発見！そしてそのすぐ横には川へのアクセスもあり、すでにキャンプファイヤーリングも川の石で作られていた！完璧～～！よ～し！3泊はここで決定！We decided to go west again (we went to South Dacoda 2 weeks before this trip)! This time it is included solar eclipse! We drove 11 hours and arrived in South Dacoda and stay over night then drove another 7 hours to Sinks Canyon national forest! We didn't have any reservation for our camp site and Eclipse was happening so we decided to be little bet away from there.  

さっそく川遊び。Boys were so happy to be here!! We found a perfect spot! We were bit nervous about camping in the national forest dispersed camping but We had pit toilet, fire ring and access to the river!!

なが～いなが～いドライブ。ボーイズたち、ほんとにおりこうさんでした！グランマが畑からくれたトウモロコシをさっそくキャンプファイヤーで焼きトウモロコシにして、おいしくいただきました～！After loooong driving boys are so happy to be outside eating corn from Grandma's farm!

さて翌日。ついにこの日が来ました。皆既日食！
The total eclipse will cut through only a 70-mile-wide band of the country, stretching from the Northwest to the Southeast US. Those in this zone will see the eclipse in its totality (when the moon appears to cover the sun). Others will see a partial eclipse.   We were debating where to see but we had a right choice!We were right in the zone!!

朝の11時ぐらいなのにだんだん暗くなってきた！It's around 11:30 AM!

始まった始まった～！Here we go!!

あれは金星かな！ほかに星も見える！カメラに写っている以上暗くなって、本当に神秘的！It was absolutely stunning! We saw Venus and a couple of stars!  

2分少々だけど、朝なのに月にブロックされた太陽の光は本当に消えた！すごい、本当にすごい現象！私のカメラでもこんな風にとることができた！！私たちが見たところは Here comes the moment! Oh it was just amazing!

シンクスキャニオンに帰ってきました。水が地面に沈んでいく（SINKこの公園の名前の通り)スポットです！Back to the sinks canyon, here is the spot that you can see the water is sinking down!

gorgeous bluffs! 岸壁の迫力が半端ない！

さ、翌日は、私の誕生日！一番大好きなクロービスのキャンプファイヤーで作るブレックファストサンドイッチ。小麦を避けた生活だったけど、この日だけは特別！It was my birthday!!! I ordered our favorite breakfast sandwiches! I have been on a gluten free diet but not on by birthday!!

そしてこの日は私たちの結婚10年アニバーサリー！指輪、乱雑に扱いすぎて、壊れてしまったので、クロービスが再度、プレゼントしてくれました！いや～早いなぁ～もう10年か！二人とも、家族が増えて、幸せ満々です！It was our 10th anniversary too! My marriage ring was broken a couple of month ago,,, but Clovis gave me again!! Happy Happy Happy family hooray!!

 国立公園、森林地帯をドライブし、途中途中の湖で遊んで、素敵な誕生日を過ごしました！We drove around the national forest and park and played at lakes. Oh I had supper fun birthday!!

さ、次はワイオミ州、グランドティートン国立公園までまたドライブしていきます！Next will be at the Grand Teton national park!

ウィスコンシン州グリーンベイとドアカウンティーの旅その2 Green Bay and Doorcounty trip Part 2

 グリーンベイから2時間ほどで、ウィスコンシン州立公園へ。予約を1か月ぐらい前にしたけど、残り一つのキャンプサイトをゲットしました！ここは五大湖の一つミシガン湖に面しているとっても素敵なところです。We drove up to Wisconsin  Door county Peninsula State park! We took the last camp site! Lucky us!!! We set up our pop-up and walk to the lake (Michigan)

 この州立公園は、たくさんのアクティビティーができます！このサイクリングコースは本当に素敵！There are so many things to do here! You can easily spend 2 weeks around here! We loved the bike trail!

途中でスナック休憩。サンセット時には西に面した湖から太陽の光がさして朝とはまた違う感じがします。If you go for biking around sunset time it is very special!

ビーチにはボートがたくさん！Lot's of boats!

 ビーチで遊ぶのだ～い好き！Boys can spend all day on the beach!

カヌーで島にやってきました。トムソーヤに出てきそうな隠れ家的なスポットを発見！We canoed to an Island and found a cozy spot like a huckleberry Finn's story!  

 7月4日のインディペンデンスデー。サンセットカヌー。間に合うかな～～～And we did sunset canoe! I wasn't sure if we can make it. Boys paddle paddle!!!

 うわ～～～ぴったり！フィンは誕生日にもらったカメラでさっそくパシャッ！！満月に近い月に、まだ明るい夜空に輝く金星がまたまた素敵でした！I almost gave up but look!!! We were just ON time!!! Perfect! Also we enjoyed the almost full moon and bright Venus too!

 

 普段やったことのない花火。ボーイズたちに大ヒット！Fireworks!!! Boys were so excited!

 We love each other!

ハイキング！Hiking! 

結構足場が悪いコースだったけど、It was little rough trail but we saw such a beautiful bluff! 

自然の作り出した素晴らしい景色を見ることができました。

4泊5日の旅行。ずっと天気も良くって最高でした！荷物ぎっしり詰めてまたお家に戻りまーす！（帰り道、雨と言われていたのに晴れて、もう一度あの遊園地によって行きました！）また絶対来たいところです！We had a wonderful weather whole time! We stopped at the amusement park in Green bay again (the weather focus said 80% chance of rain but it cleared up! ) It was another fun camping trip!!!

ウィスコンシン州グリーンベイとドアカウンティーの旅その1 Green Bay and Doorcounty trip Part 1

アメリカのインディペンデンスデー（7月4日）の週に今年はグリーンベイとドアカウンティーでキャンプ。グリーンベイまでは家からは北東へ4時間ほどかかるので1日目は子供用プールもあるホテルに泊まりました！
We went to Green bay and Doorcounty for our 4th of July trip!　(4 nights and 5 days) It takes about 4 hours from home so we stayed at a hotel that has a nice swimming pool!

グリーンベイでは3年前に行ったときに気に入ったベイビーチアミューズメントパークが目的。フィンは4歳、キイは2歳だったけど、今回はフィン7歳、キイ5歳、ティオ2歳。今回もおんなじように乗り物を楽しみます！（3年前のブログから）http://thelittlecountryschool.blogspot.com/2014/06/bay-beach-amusement-park-in-green-bay.html

We loved the Bay Beach Amusement Park in Greenbay in 2014　so our plan is stay at a hotel with swimming pool for kids one night and spend time at the park then move to Doorcounty for camping.

目玉はこの機関車。ミシガン湖を眺めながらのミニトリップ！Everyone loves train ride! It goes by Lake Michigan!

フィンはもう7歳。一人でもへっちゃらです！一人しかいない車両内で満足げな顔をして降りてきた！FINNDEPENDENCE! Finn took a ride by himself. His smile at the end was so awesome! 

ティオも乗れる乗り物がた～くさんあって、しかもちびっこの乗り物は1回25セント大きな乗り物でも75セントぐらいで、入場料もありません。There are so many rides that even Tillo (2 years old) can ride and most of these little kid's rides are 25c!We had hard time to spent $20 of ticket!

今、フィンはタイタニックに夢中。（映画じゃなくって実物の）お友達にもらった分厚いタイタニックの詳細が載っている本を毎日読んでます。Finn is all about a boat now. (Especially Titanic)

ティオ、真剣！！Tillo gets very serious for driving!

フィンとキイはこんなのにも乗れるようになりました。Finn and Kii can ride this too!

3年前のフィンが今のキイのように、キイもしっかり弟の面倒を見てくれるようになりました！Kii was just like Finn three years ago taking care of  his little brother!

ティオ、もう止まりません。次から次へとこれ乗りた～いといってはしゃいでます。Tillo, your dream came true!!

オールドファッションの観覧車、かなりいけてます！キャンプの帰りまた通り道なので、また寄ってきました！降水確率７５％だったのに、すっかり晴れてばんざ～い！しかも2回目は週末ではなかったのにさらに快適に乗り物もどんどん乗れて、ボーイズたち満足満足！さ、次回はキャンプのブログへ！We love Ferris Wheel! Our boys enjoyed so much so we went there again on the way home after our camping in Door county! The weather focus was 75% rain but it cleared up for us!! Magic! Now move on to next blog about our camping!

フィン7歳の誕生日 Finn 7th birthday!

 1年生が終わり、とうとうフィンの7歳の誕生日がやってきました。フィンのリクエストで、大好きなお友達2人を誘ってサイクリングに先週末一足早いお誕生日自転車の旅に行ってきました！It's Finn's 7th Birthday! He wanted to go for biking with his best friends! He made such great friends this year. We are all happy about it!!

 

 今回は約14.5kmの道のりで、途中2つのトンネルを通ります。ここは昔電車が走っていました。We did 9mile!!! Even 5 years old Kii had no problem at all!

トンネルの中は暗いので、懐中電灯をつけて歩きます！ Sparta Elroy biking trail is an amazing bike trail. We went through two tunnels. It used to be a train track!

 途中の公園で遊びタイム！Play at the play ground little bit but this is only time they took a rest.

 みんな無事完走！すごいスピードでビュンビュン飛ばして、私のほうが追いつくの大変なぐらいでした。We did it!! 9 miles!!!

ランチの後はケーキタイム！グランマのガーデンでとれたイチゴのケーキ！スポンジはシンプルなバニラのカップケーキにしました！Then we had lunch and cake time! Finn's birthday is always around strawberry time! Strawberry with simple Vanilla cupcake with whipping cream is way to go!

 まだまだボーイズたちは遊び足りないみたいなので、最後はプールにて！They are game for swimming after that! Out side was bit chilly so we decided to go indoor pool in Viroqua.

 あ～本当にいいお友達ができてよかったね～！
 We all had a lot of fun! They are really great friends!

さ、今度はお誕生日の当日。この日はサマースクールもあったので、学校でもたくさんの人におめでとーと言ってもらえて、うれしかったみたい。私もいつも誕生日は夏休み中だったから、気持ちわかるわかる！！学校が終わって、またまたプールでお友達とお約束。 Now it is on his birthday! Finn and Kii go to summer school and swimming class. His birthday is always during summer holiday so I bet he felt so happy when his friends said happy birthday to him at school!

今度はグランマ、グランパたちとお祝いしてもらいました！They it's family time! Grandma and Grandpa joined us!


グランマのローストチキンはみんなの大好物！Grandma's roasted chicken is everyone's favorite!

ケーキ。これ、何かわかるかな？白をベースにできるものってなかなか難しかったなぁ And cake time! Can you tell what it is?!

大好きなブラザーからのカードやら、たくさんのギフトをいただきました！They love each other so much. Kii gave Finn very nice card! Finn got so many gifts!





最後のギフトは、これ！最近始めたバスケットボール。この先、3人のボーイズたちが楽しめるようにと、グランパグランマが、バスケットゴールを買ってくれました！This is the last and fuge gift. It;s a basket hoop!! Finn has been playing basketball at school and he really wanted it at home!!! Wow luckey kids!!
7年。本当に早いな～最近足のサイズがすごい速さで大きくなっていたり、いろんなスポーツをやるようになったり、本が読めるようになったり、本当にすごい成長。これを見守れるのって本当に幸せだなー。いつまでも、ママ、ママ、とはくっついてきてはくれないんだろうなぁと思うとちょっと寂しくなるけど、だからこそ今を楽しもうと思います！
I can't believe it has been 7 years!!! Recently Finn's feet are getting so big and he started to play lots of sports, he can read quite a lot. It has been so much fun ! One day they will be very independent and don't need Mom and Dan's help so much,,, I know the time will come someday so only I can do is enjoy every single day with my family!! 

夏休みスタート！ Summer Holiday!

 6月2日、無事にフィン1年生、キイ、プリキンダガーデン終了！

フィンたちの学年は公園でピクニック、

キイたちの学年はプールで最後みんなで遊ぶ企画がありました！





子供たちは夏休みに入りました～先週からお家では日本語と音楽のレッスンを少々。
Boys are out of school! We started Japanese and Music class at home since last week. 

日本のばぁばとのskypeももっと楽しくなってきた様子。


フィンはやっと、ピアノを習う気になったみたいで、うれしい限りです！楽譜の読み方と鍵盤ハーモニカからスタート。4日目、フィンに題名が書いていない楽譜を渡して、自分一人で楽譜を読んで弾いてみて何の曲かあてさせるテスト。楽々クリアしました～～～！この調子で頑張ってほしいものです！
Finally Finn is ready to learn PIANO!! I waited for this moment for ages! He learned basic music note. On the 4th day I gave him a sheet of music and he had to read it first and play without any help. He was able to figure out what song it is all by himself! Keep it up my son!!
